Each piece is constructed from a mix of reclaimed and new materials using a mixed media assemblage process.
Materials: glass bottle, plastic fibers, textile scraps, denim, twine, mixed media
Holds water: yes
This one of a kind bottle vase is wrapped in layered, reclaimed materials, creating a woven, almost basket-like texture around the glass form.
Made from braided fibers, textile scraps, and found materials, the surface builds in thick, organic bands that give the piece a grounded, tactile presence. Small glimpses of color and denim peek through the neutral tones, adding subtle variation and depth.
The neck is tightly wrapped, while the body expands with more movement and density, creating a natural rhythm from top to bottom. The glass interior remains intact, allowing the vase to hold a single stem or small arrangement.
Each piece is entirely unique and part of an ongoing practice of reworking discarded materials into new forms.
