Sandbar Sediments - Original Mixed Media Assemblage
"Sandbar Sediments" is a one-of-a-kind assemblage created from reclaimed materials and found objects. Jewelry fragments, glass, beads, metal pieces, and textured elements gather and settle across the surface like objects drifting into a sandbar and slowly forming layers over time.
Circular ornaments and embedded fragments create the feeling of small artifacts caught in a tidal deposit, where discarded materials accumulate into a miniature landscape of color, texture, and shimmer.
This artwork is part of my This Art Is Trash series, where overlooked materials and discarded fragments are transformed into sculptural artworks that treat trash like treasure.
Each piece in the series is assembled by hand and completely unique.
